North Carolina Xylazine Live Report
We are a public service of the University of North Carolina. Health organizations and county health departments send us drug sample for free testing, thanks to the NC General Assembly and NC Collaboratory. Our lab in Chapel Hill analyzes the samples using GCMS (mass spec). This live report shows up-to-date information on xylazine. In North Carolina, xylazine has been found with fentanyl at least since 2020. It is a strong anesthetic found with fentanyl. Xylazine causes bad skin wounds, but also makes people use less fentanyl.
